Yes Downtown is a place for play – all kinds of play.  If you thought it was only for clubbing in Park West, or cocktails and nosh at the dozens of new eateries opening up over the last year - you got about 20% of it right.  With three large parks – Bayfront, Bicentennial and Margaret Pace – there are great open spaces to toss a frisbee, play kickball, or relax by the bay with a good book.

Play can be an artsy experience in Downtown – fine art, funky art, and fun can be found in places like Red Bar Gallery near Brickell, Wallflower Gallery, Miami Art Museum, Freedom Tower, and New World School.  Music, theater and performances play in venues like Arsht Center, Gusman Center, AA Arena, Miami-Dade College, and James L Knight Center.  Concerts, Exhibitions, Theater, Recitals, Poetry Slams, Circus, Musicals, and Festivals, it’s all here.

And if sport is your thing, from basketball with the HEAT, to tennis and soccer clubs, even the occasional boxing or wrestling match - there is a game to watch or play year-round.  We even have cool places for kids to play as you’ll learn in our cover story of this issue.

So DWNTWNRs get out and PLAY!
